Job Description:
Lakeshore PAWS is seeking dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technicians to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to dogs at our rescue. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our canine residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring their health.
- Maintain clean kennels and areas around the rescue to ensure a hygienic and comfortable living space.
- Administrator medications and treatments as directed by veterinary staff.
- Monitor dogs’ behavior and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff members.
- Assist with socialization and enrichment activities to promote the well-being of the dogs.
Qualifications:

- Previous experience working with dogs in a shelter, rescue, or veterinary setting is preferred, but not required.
- Passion for animal welfare and a love for dogs is a must.
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Reliable and responsible work ethic with a commitment to our mission.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
- Reliable transportation.
- Be at least 16 years of age or older.
